I have been very busy lately with little opportunity for pics. This was taken last year on the beach at Sullivan’s Island. Some students from MUSC were doing some kite surfing on a beautiful day in May. Doesn’t it look like a giant hair band?

Tree on Bridge

Sometimes an image is not composition or exposure settings or some artsy juxtaposition. Sometimes it is just the subject. This old abandoned bridge over the South Tyger River does in fact have a tree growing out of it. Rainy Night

A couple nights ago, the temp was 38°f and the color weather radar showed a big green & yellow blob moving across the state. I drove over to restaurant row and found one with bright red lights. These are raindrops on the windshield.

TrailBlazer

It was a foggy, misty day but I wanted to take some pictures. The hood of my nifty new TrailBlazer was covered with tiny beads of water. The tree limbs were silhouetted against the steel sky.

Icing

Last week was crazy. Thursday everything was encased in a quarter inch of ice. Limbs sagged and broke, power lines fell, lights went out. Mine were out for two days. The upside to all of this is how the ice bends and reflects light.

Black Water, Blue Sky

In the swamps of South Carolina, fallen leaves and the roots of trees turn the water the color of tea. The darkness makes for nice reflections. There were some currents in the creek feeding Old Levi Mill Pond at Poinsett State Park. No alterations were made in the colors or the texture.
