I got a nifty new Nikkor 80-400mm VR lens recently. I'm still learning how to use it. Today at lunch I saw this Blue Jay in this bush, then in that tree, then I finally caught him. I would have never gotten the shot with my regular lens, but it's still not as sharp as I'd like.

That's a nice lens. This looks very sharp and clean to me. I'd love to take a wildlife photo this good. Keep up the good work. Love the photo of the Cooper River Bridge. They were working on it the last time I was in Charleston. OH GOSH..now you've got me hankering for shrimp and grits!
Beautiful shot! I love how this fellow holds his head...they're such gorgeous birds!
