I have been wanting to learn to do formal portraits for some time now. A friend from work loaned me a nice backdrop, I found a very patient model, and here we go.
Nikon D70, Nikkor 18-200, at 44mm, 1/20s, f4.5, & ISO 400 with some help from Capture NX & PhotoShop Elements.

I think this turned out rather nicely. The light is very flattering and gentle.
